Parks Canada: Species At Risk program
Theme: Science Education

Location(s): Outside the Lower Mainland

Description: Species at risk protection and recovery efforts at national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites is a core activity for conservation scientists at Parks Canada. Contribute to the protection and recovery of these plants and animals through a range of programs on Southern Vancouver Island. Parks Canada engages audiences with a wide range of formal and informal education and visitor programs at national parks and historic sites across the country. Teacher candidates have the opportunity to help develop, test, deliver and evaluate bilingual education programming. We invite teacher candidates to discuss their ideas and interests and help create a CFE program that includes their goals and objectives.

Associated Costs: Teacher candidates will need their own accommodation in the Victoria area for this placement, and transportation to the primary work location, Fort Rodd Hill National Historic Site.
