posAbilities is a non-profit organization that supports individuals with developmental disabilities. Teacher candidates have an opportunity to visit two of the 40 programs posAbilities runs. Both Alternatives and Stage Door are day programs, meaning they run Monday to Friday, from about 9:30 am until 3:00 pm. Alternatives is an art studio, where the participants work on various projects, including sculpting, drawing, and painting.

Stage Door is a theatre program, where the participants do some music therapy and improv. This group also writes an original production each year, making their own sets, costumes, and props.

The students who choose to do their placements with posAbilities should have an interest in either art or theatre, and be open to working with adults. There is flexibility, with an opportunity to facilitate different sessions throughout the duration of the placement.
