Theme: Youth at Risk

Supporting students who are often not engaged in their own education because of outside stresses, historic trauma, or school-related concerns.The teacher candidate would support students academically through individual work, leading group experiences, or mini-lessons. Topics can be academic and, also, related to mental health, life-work success, Indigenous ways of knowing, etc. Some students would like to increase their fitness, write a resume, get a moment of appropriate adult attention - depending on the candidate they will be encouraged to help students meet their own needs in creative and safe ways.
