Students would be paired with one or more SET-BC educators whom they would shadow as our educators deliver consultation, training, and implementation support services to school teams around the province (virtually) or lower mainland (possibly face-to-face or virtually).

The focus of our support is around complex needs technologies so UBC students will learn what types of learning technologies teachers use in their classrooms and what technologies can be used by students with complex vision, communication or physical access needs. In some cases, student teachers may be able to directly support classes or students.

The student teacher would become familiar with Ministry of Education Provincial Resource Programs in general and how their services are provided throughout the province. UBC students also might be involved in presenting to other teachers and creating learning materials.

Some travel within the local area may be involved.

Associated Costs:

Potential ground travel within the Lower Mainland.
