St. George's School is a vibrant learning environment that is uniquely positioned to meet the learning needs of boys in a rapidly changing world. Today’s graduates are entering a world where people work in teams, where multi-tasking is a way of life, and where problem-solving is driving the pursuit for excellence.
We are committed to a program that nurtures the well-rounded student. With over 50 problem-solving based academic options, from advanced mathematics to psychology to animation; with over 20 Advanced Placement courses that are internationally recognized; with over 50 athletic options, 50 clubs, and 60% of the student body enrolled in band; with a designated Service Learning Program that has students building schools in Peru and Guatemala, St. George’s School knows what it takes to prepare its students for university and for life.
Field experience at St. George's would involve observing classes in a variety of contexts as well as taking responsibility for collaborative planning and co-teaching with our excellent faculty. The teacher candidate would have the option of leading classroom activities. There are plenty of opportunities for the teacher candidate to experience our extensive boarding and co-curricular programs and get a sense of our vibrant multifaceted community.
