Description:Teacher candidates will be invited to work in our office in East Vancouver, and experience a wide range of planning, development and activation of local basketball programs, projects, initiatives and events. Our partners include Jr. NBA, Night Hoops, BC Wheelchair Basketball Society, BC Sports Hall of Fame, NBA Canada, Basketball Canada, Girls Who LEAP. See www.vancouverbasketball.org for a full rundown of our current initiatives. We curate special projects for our partners, host large basketball events, and teach at-risk youth life skills via off-court workshops. The teacher candidates would be involved in all of these projects. So there will be a mixture of time in the office, presenting workshops, and time in the field doing community activations. As a bonus, the candidates will work beside a high-powered digital marketing agency called Victory Creative Group Inc., and there will be opportunities to learn from some of the top web designers, graphic designers, photographers, and videographers in Canada.
